The terms governing access to and use of ShapeAny

These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern access to and use of ShapeAny, including its website, photo-calibration tools, Shape and Bin editors, generated files, and related services (collectively, the Service).
These Terms are provided by ShapeAny (we, us, or our). Questions about the Service may be sent to support@shapeany.com.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of another person or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind them.
You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
We may require email verification and may use anti-abuse measures to protect the Service.
ShapeAny lets users create reusable Shapes from photos of physical objects and use them to design custom Gridfinity Bins. Users can download Shapes as SVG files and Bins as STL files for digital fabrication and 3D printing.
Generated Shapes, dimensions, meshes, and other outputs are estimates. Image conditions, calibration, object geometry, printer tolerances, material shrinkage, slicing settings, and other factors can affect accuracy. You must inspect measurements and generated files before relying on them or printing them. ShapeAny is not a safety-critical measurement or engineering service.
ShapeAny currently offers:
A monthly usage cycle is anchored to the applicable account or entitlement start date. Unused generations do not roll over and have no cash value.
Pro is not an automatically renewing subscription. Pro access does not expire solely because time passes, and no recurring Pro fee is charged. This does not promise that the Service, every feature, or any third-party dependency will be available indefinitely. We may reasonably change the Service or its limits for security, legal, technical, abuse-prevention, or sustainability reasons. If a change materially affects paid access, we will provide notice where reasonably practicable and honour mandatory consumer rights.
The final price, currency, taxes, and any checkout-specific terms are displayed before payment. Payments are handled through a third-party checkout service, whose applicable transaction terms and privacy notice are presented during the purchase flow. ShapeAny does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
A purchase receipt or invoice is normally sent to the email address used at checkout.
Because Pro is a digital service made available shortly after purchase, purchases are generally final once access has been delivered or use has begun. We do not offer refunds merely because a user changes their mind, except where required by applicable law or expressly approved under this Section.
Requests for a discretionary refund must be submitted to support@shapeany.com with the purchase email, relevant order information, and an explanation of the issue. Requests are reviewed manually. A refund may be appropriate for an unauthorised transaction, a duplicate charge, failure to deliver paid access, or another material problem we cannot reasonably correct.
Approved refunds are processed through the payment service. A payment provider may also reverse or refund a transaction where required by law, payment-network rules, consumer-protection requirements, or fraud or chargeback controls. Bank processing times are outside ShapeAny's control.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights. If you are entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal, including an applicable right available to consumers in the European Union or European Economic Area, you may exercise it within the legally required period by emailing support@shapeany.com with a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase. You do not need to provide a reason, although we may request information reasonably necessary to identify the order.
When applicable law permits a charge for service already provided during a withdrawal period, we will apply one only where all legally required conditions have been satisfied. If those conditions are not satisfied, your mandatory rights remain unaffected.
Shapes and Bins are subject to the limits and retention rules shown for the applicable plan.
If Pro access is revoked following a refund, chargeback, reversed payment, or other loss of entitlement:
Deleting an individual Shape or Bin is irreversible. The item is hidden from the account immediately and its stored files are removed asynchronously.
You retain your rights in photographs and other content you upload. You grant ShapeAny a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transform, transmit, and process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, comply with law, and resolve support or security issues.
As between you and ShapeAny, you may use and download the generated output, subject to these Terms and any rights belonging to third parties. ShapeAny does not guarantee that an uploaded image or generated output is free of third-party intellectual-property rights. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to upload and use your content and output.
You must not:
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent abuse, fraud, security threats, legal violations, or material breaches of these Terms.
The Service relies on third parties, including hosting, database, storage, AI processing, authentication, email, anti-abuse, checkout, and payment providers. Their outages or changes may affect the Service. The Privacy Policy explains the main provider categories and data-processing roles.
The Service uses open-source software. Required attribution, license, and source information is available in our Third-party notices.
You may request account deletion through Settings. Access is disabled and active sessions are revoked immediately. You may restore the account by signing in again during the 7-day recovery period. After that period, deletion is irreversible and stored assets are scheduled for permanent removal.
Limited transaction, tax, fraud, security, dispute, and usage records may be retained or anonymised where necessary for legal compliance, accounting, enforcement, or the establishment or defence of legal claims. Deleting a paid account does not itself create a right to a refund.
If you voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback, you permit us to use them without restriction or compensation, provided that we do not publicly identify you without permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, permanent storage, compatibility with every device or printer, or that generated output will be suitable for a particular purpose.
You are responsible for keeping independent copies of important files and for testing generated files safely before use.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, guarantee, or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShapeAny will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, failed prints, wasted materials, printer damage, or an object failing to fit, arising from use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the amount paid for the affected Pro purchase.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or any mandatory consumer right.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security requirements, or business operations. We will post the updated date and, for a material change, provide reasonable notice where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights that have already accrued.
You may stop using the Service or request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, unlawful conduct, fraud, abuse, or a serious security risk. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, payment records, disclaimers, liability limitations, and dispute provisions—will survive.
These Terms do not limit any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact support@shapeany.com so the parties can attempt to resolve the issue informally.
If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganisation, sale, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any transaction terms presented at checkout form the applicable agreement concerning the Service and a Pro purchase.
